You sound like a spoiled sport. Were you not "popular" in school? :rolling: Sorry this spoiled your night. I could debate you all night over this, but ummmmmmmmmm no. We all should agree to disagree and toast to EMMIT. :clap_1:

The contest was supposed to be about dancing, not popularity. Emmitt got judged against what his own (or other football players) capabilities were. Mario got judged against professional dancing standards. I think we're all clear on this....it was a popularity contest, pure and simple...cuz Emmitt sucked against dancing standards. So we can all agree, Emmitt's more popular. Wow.
I think most everyone that probably voted knew that Mario has a nasty rep for being a horndog and sleazy character. So Emmit winning on his popularity is winning on merit in my book. That was his "advantage" so to speak.

If the public is part of the vote I don't see how it can be a contest based solely on merit. Personally, they were both entertaining to watch and Emmitt was by far not an awful dancer. His build doesn't allow him to move the same as Mario but if you studied Emmitt's footwork and compared the two, Emmitt was better. Cheryl even said that he was better at the quick step and that's a really hard dance. Emmitt was a better entertainer over all and that's what won it for him.

I think Emmit deserved to win this competition. Who said it should be based on the best dancer? Emmit outshined last night and his character and personality did win him the competition. But did you ever think he won it because the "FANS" saw him go from football player to ballroom dancer?. Mario already had some experience, Emmit did not. So i based my my votes on who did the best overall over the weeks of competition. Yes Mario is an awesome dancer. But Emmit came raw and unpolished as a dancer/performer like that. And yes as with all dial-in votes it comes down to popularity. But if you think back over the weeks, Mario was on top in popularity as you call it every week except one. That is when he broke the rules. Did you see his partners face as they interviewed them when Emmit won? She looked like she could suck a lemon. And Mario threw his arms up like oh welllllllllll life sucks. I dont think he took the loss very well and that just proves who was the better winner.

She was mad wasn't she? They wouldn't even put her on camera until they had to. Sorry, but it was kind of  .

I don't like the fact that popularity won over merit, if that makes me a spoiled sport then so be it. You're turning this into a matter of me being popular or not is juvenile. It hasn't spoiled my night, I've seen this all my life, no surprises here. Debate all you want to, but you obviously don't know squat about dance.

I'll toast to Emmit for being the most popular. Cheers to Emmit.

She looked mad before they announced. Do you think they know beforehand? :idontno: Emmitt's little speech afterward was very gracious though--to Mario.

YEA EMMITT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :clap_1: :clap_1: :clap_1:
