My car was impounded

Or grounds for divorcing Kimmi for Drex.

2k worth of tickets was an emergency?

John R - have you ever seen "The Sure Thing?" One of my favorite scenes - John Cusack and Daphne Zuniga are stranded in the middle of nowhere in the pouring rain; they come across a crappy old trailer which just happens to be locked. John Cusack is trying to pick the lock at which point Daphne Zuniga says, "I have a credit card" to which John replies, "No it's a totally different kind of lock." And once again Daphne says, "No you don't understand, I have a credit card!" Followed up by, "Oh, but my dad said only to use it in case of emergency." To which John replies, "Well maybe one will come up." Turns out the only lodging around is a ritzy B & B and they indulge.

Anyway, where was I going with this? Just that we all have different opinions and ideas as to what constitutes an emergency. I don't think it was the tickets as much as the fact that the vehicle was impounded.

I need to watch that movie again, a classic. I was quite smitten with Daphne for a while. With regards to my post above, 2k worth of tickets in 8 mos. is around 3ea/wk. seems like that's viewed as ok, that's the emergency, imo.

i'm figuring they are parking tickets, or we would have heard stories about crashes, being pulled over, points on license, insurance unable to paid, etc

so, i'm guessing they're parking tickets, and guessing that a parking ticket, even in LA starts at $20...

They start at $40 and double after 12 days. Do da math.

And, the EMERGENCY is that the car was impounded, and that costs $120 a day. And I had to get my car because I have to leave AGAIN today do go out of town for an event.
