The debate was as I expected. Pure entertainment. No voters swayed. A damn good "old school" SNL skit. 2 old fucks engaged in an elementary schoolyard tussle. I was waiting to hear "I know you are but what am I?!" or "Your're rubber and I'm glue.... "

Yes, the debate was predictable. I think Trump supporters keep hoping that he will suddenly be Presidential but in the end he is what he is. Trump was so disruptive and disrespectful it really put a lot of pressure on Biden to find air time and control his emotions. Trump has no respect for the democratic process of government or civility. He really does not give a rats aspirin bottle about we the people unless you kiss that aspirin bottle which makes him feel like superman. He has been a dictator all his life and now that he has about 42% of Americans supporting him he is feeling it as they say. The only thing surprising is that Trump does not lose voters on his blatant path to turn our democracy into a single power controlling all branches of government. That 42% is either okay with Trump destroying our democracy, confused by what it all means or simple justifying their hatred for progressive democracy.

Biden is truly and factually the last stand for our democracy as we know it. Regardless of his age and mental sharpness he is now the hope of we the people. The founders tried to constitute a process of checks and balances of power. Democrats should have done more to balance that power in our Judicial Branch and Legislative Branch before Trump but I think they got complacent with Obama and thought Clinton would win. Trump is like a hurricane that formed just off the coast and quickly gained energy from a planet that is warming while we the people were going about our lives and not paying attention. That storm is wreaking havoc with our democracy and almost half of us are still not paying attention...

He's losing support. Scott Adams, creator of the Dilbert Comic has been an avid supporter of Trump. After his proud boy remarks, Adams says Trump lost his vote. I'm sure there are many more like him.

It’s clear he doesn’t like Trump, nor does he want him to have a second term. Take for instance, Bush’s comments today about The Lincoln Project, a group of Republican never-Trumpers who are going hard after the President’s campaign.

“I think their ads are great,” Bush said at a SALT conference Thursday morning. His statement, which included a caveat that he didn’t like The Lincoln Project going after Senate Republicans, showed where Bush’s heart lies.

Ok but he's a lot of years and a lot of lies and a lot of treason late. There a lot of Trump backers out there who will never change who they are. They are among us. He has revealed the true nature of much of America. That is the depressing part.
