Gas Prices - the REAL way to reduce them!

I disagree. When evacuating, people tend to take the vehicle which can hold the most junk, in addition to family and pets. That is not likely to be the Toyota Prius if there is a Suburban in the driveway. In fact, more likely is the idea of taking both vehicles packed with junk.

Yea, I know that when I posted it and knew it wouldn't slip by, but the higher prices do offer incentive to take the most fuel efficient vehicle that they can stuff the most stuff in. The folks value their property, family and pets more than they do their cash, so it makes sense they take the bigger vehicle. Again, I'm open to listening to suggestions on encouraging people to consume less in evacuations. We at least agree that price gouging laws aren't the way to do it.

I think the school needs to do a questionare about why people are not using the buses, and are picking up/dropping off their child themselves, and make adjustments to their system.
Yeah, I only got a ride if I missed the bus or when the school was closer if it was pouring rain.

I hear that Georgia is increasing their gas taxes tomorrow. Give up an additional 2% for every dollar of gas to the state of GA.

Back on the motorcycle, I reckon. Anyone want to buy a cute little 125cc scooter that gets 80 mpg?

I read that Honda has decided to stop producing the Hybrid Accord, after selling only 25,000 units since 2004. I guess they are finally figuring out that buyers who would normally be looking at a hybrid Accord, would rather see a substantial increase in fuel mileage rather then 230+ HP.
