Thanks from all of y'all... We made it back in one piece. It felt sooooo good to come home.

Mom & dad said that the girls wanted to "stay here" (meaning GA)

when they were tired, crying and wanting daddy Sunday night. Both of them said they were ready to go home (SoWal) but that they wanted papa and grandmama to come visit them here.
I did get to escape to Athens for a little while, which gave me a mental break from the fact that I am an alien in my family.
Filing for Hunter's birth certificate was really easy yesterday and the trip back was a breeze. Of course, Zoe had to

poop

on the side of the road AGAIN.... AFTER I tried to take her to the bathroom at Zaxby's in Newnan. (Steelemama, she just wouldn't have it!) Hunter slept from Newnan to Dothan. I was in heaven. We got back at 4:30. Daddy's music helped soothe munchkins in the midst of any mayhem. All three of them would get peacefully silent when they listened to his music.
I tried to talk my family (parents, brothers, SILs) into coming down here this summer to visit. I showed mom picks of SoWal online, etc. One SIL won't travel b/c she's pregnant

... Heck I lived away from my "home" in a hotel for 2 months (June & July) while pregnant and delivered Hunter 3 days after getting back home. And for some reason they travel in packs and so none of them are coming because she won't come.
I did have nice talks with my mom... I think she feels connected to me now that I have 3 kids and understand what she went through.
BUT... they made a comment that wouldn't go well in SoWal at all. They said they left items out on the beach last summer while being at/on St. George Island last summer, even though they were asked not to because of the sea turtles. They said, "Well why not, everyone else was doing it?" I had to educate them a little bit.:nono1:
All I can say is leaving SoWal is HIGHLY OVERRATED and won't be happening any time soon. ;-) I'm glad to be back.
