Who could pass by a child bride without offerring the rapunzel in distress a ride??![]()
And here is what I love about Sowal...Virtually every person that passed stopped to offer me a ride ... What a wonderful place!
Ummm...virtually anyone in New Orleans. I would've gotten their seats wet! More likely they'd just accelerate through the puddles.
very funny and true. Now I feel a little left out. Recently, I locked my keys and cell phone in the car while at the gym. Not to worry, it is only a 2.5 mile walk home, which isn't any big deal at all, even though I had just finished an intense lower body workout. However, I was passed by many, many people, some who honked and others who waved (like JFunn). I guess since I was wearing shorts, t-shirt, and running shoes, while sweating it out, they figured I was doing some aerobic exercise, so they didn't bother to stop and offer a ride. I didn't bother to wave them down and instead, just tried to relax and enjoy the walk. Nearing my house, John R did stop and give me a lift to my house for some spare keys, then back to the gym, even though he was supposed to be on the road to Colorado. ;-) Thanks, John R!- living in blue mntn almost four years now - similar thing happened to me last week - while walking along the 30A to pick up my auto from the mechanics - half a dozen+ fine humans stopped to offer a lift - thanks
- a wonderful place indeed
cheers ;-)
