Most excellent. You get an A+. :clap_1: You do an extreme ironist proud.

Yes, that's the book order for amateurs.:nono1: That is not how I do it though. I start with the body, sleeves do not always necessarily have to be ironed on both sides if you do it right, and the collar is last. Depends on the size of the shirt if have to do the yoke, and then I do that after the sleeve is down because you could get a crease if you do the yoke first and then the yokes on you. ;-)

mango, that is the exact order i iron in too, on the rare occasions i do iron (meaning vacation). i am a pro and didn't know it !

Right by the Walgreen's? A little out of the way, but not that bad. I'm more than willing to travel an extra mile or two if a business comes highly recommended. There are several right by me near Golf & Elmhurst and none of them have wowed me. Thanks so much for the recommendation!
Yes, by Walgreen's. They are a sweet couple but don't try to talk to them! They can't speak a word of English. They just smile and say "sure" a lot!

I'm actually needing to replace my iron--suggestions, recommendations?

Pea, I bought a Black and Decker Professional because it got rave reviews online, but I hate it, and am going back to a Rowenta iron and will keep the B &K as a backup. The Rowentas make grayt steam irons, however, they are heavy and a little pricey and break down just as fast as a less expensive iron, but they heat up real fast and steam nicely. My B&K spits the steam out like a locomotive. It does have a decent anti-calc feature if you have hard water, but if you decide to go buy a more expensive model, using distilled water prolongs the life of your iron.

Amazon.com is having a sale on Rowentas right now. I have my eye on
the Rowenta DZ9080 Advancer Iron.
1800 watts; 400 micro steam 400 holes provides perfect steam distribution
Platinium treated stainless steel provides excellent glide and non-stick and non-scratch properties
New Steam Advance system has high pressure steam which cycles for fast effective crease removal; Plus burst of steam, variable steam and vertical steam functions
High precision tip delivers steam and pressing into hard to reach areas
Large 11.8 oz water tank; Easy to use electronic control; Soft grip handle; 3-way safety shut off
