It was a balmy 70 here today, and tomorrow the high is 71. VERY warm for this time of year here. However, next week the highs are going to be in the 50s and lows in the 20s. I guess we have to take the good with the bad. Everyone stay safe out there. Here is wishing for warmer weather for everyone soon!!

I was afraid of that. Mr. Pod said American was already this afternoon offering people with St. Louis tickets rebooking with no change fees, so I know they're anticipating more of the same. I told him about MS, and he said--St. Louis nothing, he'll probably never get out of Dallas! :(

Mr. Pod is a smart one. Our airport is not equipped for this...it's the deicing that causes the backups. MS is supposed to leave DFW on Monday at 1:50 pm. Question is...will he ever make it here from SLC????

I miss MS. :(

Hope you guys stay warm, Pea to Z Pod! You can always come down to SoWal, where the temps will be around 75F degrees today.

Mr. Pod called this morning, his flight from Atlanta to St. Louis is cancelled. :bang:Poor Kitty, this weather sure messed up your quality time. :(

yeah, what he said;-)
It's above freezing today, so now ice is melting here.
You two are bad influences.

wtf is going on with the airlines? Our group is stuck in STC and there is nothing much in the way of weather here right now. Delta is diverting its DFW flights to Houston. We are trying to get the parents to fly to Houston right now, rather than wait to see if the 5 pm flight actually takes off. :bang:

Pea...I have been trying to get info on Lambert. What is the status?

From what I understand, it's the typcial snowball effect (no pun intended) right now because of yesterday's delays in several airports, such as DFW and STL. The weather here isn't bad, either, but they've had to reroute so many travelers that they're cancelling flights for today, I think. It's easier to use the websites of the individual carriers rather than the airport website. I did just go to the Lambert site and looked at the listings of arrivals and departures, I'm guessing it's fairly up to date. Mr. Pod was given the option of flying out today--Atlanta to Chicago to St. Louis, but he says he doesn't know how things are at O'Hare, so it might be a risk. :idontno:

Good summary. A Delta flight has left SLC, but may be diverted to Houston. The dad is a heart surgeon and was trying to get on it because of a surgery tomorrow. They are booked on an afternoon flight which arrives here at 9 pm...when it is supposed to get ugly (according to the weatherfreakcasters)...we have missed ugly three times already.

Hope Mr. Pod gets home sooner rather than later.

Things at O'hare are fine now, but looks like our weather is going to get worse as the days wears on.
