Anyone use this site? My daughter that is abroad suggested I use it to communicate with her. Is it like AOL instant messanger? These children force me to participate in the 21st century.

Here's some info to get you started:

I would definitely go for it. We made two or three trips to Europe without our kids--when they were in high school and definitely computer literate--and I wish we had signed up for Google Talk. I had to carry a long list of e-mail addresses, write my letters, and wait for a response. When you're travelling it's not always convenient to check in at an internet point, and I would have really loved being able to IM the kids instead. Even though there's a six hour difference between here and Europe, if you Google Talked with your daughter at 5 pm our time, she'd most likely be awake and ready to talk with you. You could agree in advance when you were going to talk and it would be so easy. It's well worth doing!!
