I likey.

On behalf of Jeannies everywhere, I am offended that this color is not working for you.

I do love this color- I don't take many color risks - so I admire your color chutzpa (sp?). I think Toots is right- tone it down with some other stuff and you may like it better. The chocolate brown is a good idea- might for comforting for any guy that uses that potty!

Well Jeannie (and you could be one, because you have the ability to make things happen in snap  ) couldn't you just cross your arms and make it ltoned down?

Yes, it's very Carribean. I agree.

What color is it? Brand and name? I have lots of paint fans. Maybe I can suggest a couple more toned down alternatives? Also do you know the name of the color in your living area, if this is next to it?
I loooooove talking about paint. Where are Mermy and Allifunn?:idontno:
Bougainvilla at Sherwin Williams

Another way to tone down your funn color would be to add white bead board on the bottom half of your walls and then add your accent colors as noted in the posts above.

So basically ya'll are saying...................Cover it up! :funn:

He may have to. I've lost some eye sight already. Kinda like looking directly into an eclipse. It's brighter in person. Guess I am just not used to it and haven't removed the tape and hung things up yet in case I painted over it. It is a pretty tropical color.
Maybe I'll beadboard it. I thought of that too Gypsea.

I see no Bougainvillia on my SW fan pack....:idontno: Is it in the fan pack or is it one of the MS colors?
My ex has worked for SW for 30 years...so I know a little bit about paint....
I do have a suggestion that could tone it down and give it a Mediterranean feel. ( I would be happy to do it)

Ok, looked at the paint. Got it at SW, but its actually from the Martha Stewart siggy collection. Aww, how sweet of you to offer. Will be back in sowal in the blink of an eye soon and I'll do something with it then. ;-)

There you are Alli. Allifunn to the rescue! :clap_1:

Couldn't find it either. I bet you're right it's one of the MS colors. The closest current SW match I could see was "Enticing Red." Toned-down versions I liked were "Begonia" and "Coral Reef", also "Reddish" and "Charisma."

But tell me how you do the toning-down thing with a wall color that bright.

It is probably a satin finish, so I would wash it with an umber glaze. It would give it a Med. or Spanish look...I think it would be beautiful...and Mangy, I would love to do it next time I am in SoWal...SERIOUS!!! It is not that large of a space...and I used to do ALOT of faux finishes when I lived in Atlanta. I am not sure it would go with the decor of the rest of the house, though :idontno:

Alli is serious, Mango. She wanted to come over and help paint my living room! (which hasn't been done yet, btw). In addition to being very sweet, I think she just likes to paint.
