Laptop out.
Shoes you can slip on and off.
Keep that one quart baggie in outside pocket where you can whip it out for inspection.
Make sure carry on is small enough to fit under seat.
Drivers license with your boarding pass.
Check as much as you can baggage wise. Things have gotten much better with new barcode scanning system.
Really- don't bother to buy anything to drink till you get to "the other side".
Have all that together and you'll look like an old pro. Not like some tourist.
Notice the emphasis on one quart bag. Not a gallon Freezer bag. ONE QUART.
Also, when they started this, I had a six ounce bottle of contact solution that was half full, thinking it would pass for 3oz. NOT. Tossed it.
And don't wear anything that would make the metal detector go off.
They'll strip ya nekkid right there on the spot!

The other Sowallers have done a good job of how to board the plane and left nothing out....except.......Have a Grayt time!!!!

On that very note! MOST IMPORTANT. If you are on any medication at all whatsoever, make sure it is in the bottle labeled specifically for that medicaton!! They don't have to go into that 1 quart baggie, unless they are liquid, but, they cannot be carried in one of those pill sorters that we use for each day of the week.
Sure you can carry the pill holder/sorter in your carryon, if it is EMPTY, but all pills must be in their correct bottle.
They won't just search you. Let's just say you won't be flying out that day.
