Socks Tangent! My weimeraner Flo, has had 2 surgeries to remove the socks she had swallowed that would not go through. I don't know what it is about weimeraners and socks but I've heard it is common to them. Lots of socks are without mates because of end result!

I have that probably too. I love socks. Why just yesterday MAN-go had to perform the Heimlich Maneuver on me.

The dogs are Newfoundlands or Newfies for short. The B/W one is a Landseer Newfie -- he is Huggs and the black female is Kisses. They are adorable and are a fun breed.

Thats what I thought they were. Too stinking cute. We are BIG DOG lovers in the Otter house. Don't they tend to get a bit hot in SC?

2 dogs love toilet paper and it is a HUGE pet peeve. The sight of a roll shredded, which somehow is my job to pick up on a regular basis, drives me crazy! Flo also has a thing for bars of soap! I think Tone is her favorite. We have switched to bottle soap because I was tired of finding the soap gone after I had already gotten in the shower!
I used to have quite an extensive collection of boots from living in Michigan. Smokin hot red boots, equestrian boots, high heeled dress boots, I just liked wearing boots with dresses. I don't have them anymore they succumbed to puppyitis! See pic:

Well, my first Newfie came from FL, so I think they adjust. They are way too cute.... helps them out of many situations:roll: . I haven't really read up on this, but I believe they have ways to adjust through skin, coat and nose. Mine are definitely not suffering here in SC (Allifunn can vouch that they are spoiled rotten). AbacoMAH has more info on this.... I just tend to believe what I hear... They are predominately inside dogs and have a temperature controlled sunroom as a doghouse.... real tough stuff... they do have a habit of "spooging" all over everything

You were lucky.... many items have been destroyed by these two in their puppy daze.... socks, sunglasses, flip flops, window sills, shoes, towels, etc... whatever happened to be laying around... :roll: ......

H---E---L---L---O NewfieGirl.... they are still very much in the "puppy" or adolescent stage ........ Kisses is a little sneak ...... she waits until you are not lookin' and sneaks upstairs to get the toilet paper ......... I know 'cause they are my GrandDogs
