At that age when we were growing up most girls were flat as boards on top and had no hips or shape to them. Not the case now at 10 years old.

Seriously though, this is really sad. I would say that most 5th graders are still fairly innocent. You can't lump all of them together. This is one particular story. I know kids now a days are exposed to a lot more than we were but this whole incident was just wrong. Like Supermom said, these kids need counseling. We don't know the whole story but I'm betting there are serious family issues going on.

does that make me old???...my first year teaching, two students on our field trip were caught "on top of each other". I was not 10 feet away, and it happened as I was helping another child. About 2 years ago at another school, two students were having oral sex and the rest of the class stood around watching. :shock: 
It was during the time where the students changed clothes in gym.Of course these incidents are exceptions, but I feel society portrays relationships very casual. Too much suggestive and sexual behavior on tv, videos, chat rooms etc. And why do the parents or guardians allow children to watch such crap???
