Major Celebrity Sighting Night

New posts
The Rejects were very polite. I would not have had a clue who they were if Potato Vixen and the girls hadn't told me!

And thanks again to Dread, who patiently posed for 3 pictures- each girl had a camera. I hope at least one pic turned out!:floor:

I met the AAR boys a few years ago at a concert, and they were all incredibly nice. I'm glad to hear they're still living up to that reputation. :clap_1:

I had major stress today, too. I am a control freak and can't stand it when people whom I love have problems that I can't fix for them. My shrink tonight told me that I can stay in control by not letting the problems of others stress me out and bring me down. So, I am totally cool and not stressed, just concerned and supportive of them in dealing with their problems. Nothing like a few glasses of wine and a Xanax to put one in that sort of mood. Now I'm in control.

Hope u b otay, jdarg!
BR, I think I may print out your post and refer to it on an as-needed basis. Good advice, all of it. (Especially that last bit...) ;-)
Hang in there.

Yes, All American Rejects are from Oklahoma. They are definately NOT local. ONE of their vacations condos is here in Santa Rosa Beach. I know where, but to respect their privacy will not tell.
They have toured all over the world, have played on Leno, a couple of morning shows including Regis and Kelly.
They were the band that brought in 2006 with Dick Clark's Rocking New Years Eve. Their music has been featured in quite a few movies including American Pie and what was that movie..."John Tucker Must Die".
Another song from their latest album "Move Along" -which is so good I accidentally bought it twice!(Two different album covers-duh!)- is featured in the 3D movie Meet the Robinson's, which is currently in Theatres.
They are huge on MTV and VH1. Music videos all over the place.
Lead Singer Tyson Ritter might still be engaged to international fashion model Kim Smith, who has graced nearly every magazine cover there is.
If you are an 80's child like I am, I would call them a male version of Go-Gos, but with talent. That is actually a compliment, if you go back in your mind about 23 years ago and remember how huge the Go-Go's were.
There manager is one of the biznesses heavy hitters so expect these guys to go even farther.
Tyson Ritter recently guest starred as himself on the Hit TV show "House".
Nick Wheeler has a tattoo from the Muppet Movie on his right bicep. We sat an talked about it for awhile, as I the drinking glass the Tattoo was taken from. They are really nice guys, but try to live up to the "bad boy" image in their videos.
Ask Bobby J about his connection with them and his youngest daughter-how he made her day by having them call and leave a message on her voice mail. It was through her that I 'discovered' who they were. Till then, they were just regular customers. They still have some of my drunkkenart.

oldest AAR groupie. yep. that's me. Go buy Move Along. You won't be disappointed.

Actually they have been on Jay Leno at least twice.

Another of their song's was featured on the "Laguna Beach" soundtrack.

Oh, and one more thing...Two of their albums have gone PLATINUM.

I don't expect to see them playing locally anytime soon.

I'll have my people call their people and see what we can do.:funn:

If they're still in town - we'd love to have AAR come by Fired Up in Seaside and autograph a plate that we can silent auction for one of our local non-profit groups!

We have been discreetly doing these on a regular basis, so if you know someone famous, ask 'em to stop in and see us. Privacy assured, as we want to make sure they enjoy their SoWal vacation in peace...

BTW, a signed Jeff Foxworthy plate is on display in our front window. Amazin' how unique these look after they've been glazed & fired...

Way to go, dka! :clap_1: You really know your AAR trivia!

After all this hoopla about them being in town, I found my copy of "Move Along" and have been listening to it almost nonstop. I had forgotten how much I like it.
