I think each verizon store is different. We got great service at the Verizon store in Midtown ATL. Even after the manager spent an hour with us and we didn't buy phones (because my husband can get a discount on phones and the monthly fees through his employer), when we went back to the store, he spent 30 minutes just helping Beach Jacket and me find fun accessories for our new phones.

On the other hand, when a few days later I had a problem with my new phone, we went to the Midtown store and they had to send us to another store that had a service technician. This guy was totally clueless. There were three customers there, and we each waited about 3 hours. It made us miss the beginning of the UF/KY game! We even called Verizon ourselves while we were there to get tech support to tell this moron what to do. He was too stupid to do what they told him. Finally the store manager took pity on us and just swapped out my phone and provisioned the new phone.

We get better coverage with Verizon than with T-Mobile or Cingular. With T-Mobile, I rarely could get a signal in my house. Now that's not a problem.

I guess I'll go select one from my back porch and start using it now, since all the sowallers are doing it. wouldn't it be funny to keep a big ole conch in your car and chat on it driving down the road?
