I read somewhere once it was Henry Ford.
I believe he wanted his workers to also be consumers and realized they and other working stiffs needed time off and "weekend" jaunts to encourage the average person to want this horseless carriage thing.
That was one crafty man.

Kid: It's dead.
Me: Because you've killed it with overuse?

Kid: I left the charger in my friend's car.

So while we were in Grayton a few weeks ago, my son and his TripleB's son decided it was warm enough to go in the Gulf (it wasn't). So they come back to the cabin purple from being so cold. Mrs. TripleB made them get in the warm shower with their bathing suits on to warm up. My son decided to take a full shower after Jake leaves the shower. I asked him to hand me his suit so I could ring it out and put it outside to dry. As I was wringing it out, I felt something in the pocket. His cell phone. It hasn't worked since.

I dropped my cell phone in the Gulf while kayakking and Jfunn took the face plate off it afterwards, looked at this little red dot or something, and told me my phone was toast. You are absolutely right about water and cell phones not being good matches.
