I especially like that she was so poor and now is so successful. I like a good Cinderella story.

I love love love the h potter books. I have read them all and am awaiting the last. Any other adult fans out there????

YOu are such a good aunt. Dylan's class wrote and published books this year. His teacher told him he should write children's books. ( love it when a teacher plant's a seed) When I get time I need to type out the story for you all to read. It's called Donkey the Donkey. I was amazed at his illustrations. He reproduced Donkey and his friend Theodore several times in the book and they all looked the same. I could never to that. They would look different each time.

The best teachers I remembered planted seeds and recognized someones strengths early on and cultured them. Kudos to Dylans teacher.
Can't wait to see Dylan's story.

Writing stories encourages imagination which is what we were fostering.
The charachters are still growing. Light Bulb man now has a family.
Baby Night Light was born/lit a few months ago.

Me, me! I started the first, just to see what the fuss was all about, and then I got hooked. I read book after book to catch up and then hated having to wait when I caught up through the 4th book.

A few friends and I are reserving our books and then going to get it at midnight the 21st. I know they are books for kids, but Rowling really is a great storyteller.

To think it all started on a napkin...

one of the pharmacists at work has 4 kids, 3 of which are old enough to read the series, so i buy the books, read them, and give to his kids. they read them over and over and over...

I watched an Oprah show and she had as a guest the person that reads manuscripts and then either accepts or rejects for the publisher. I think if I remember correctly the first manuscript had already been rejected once and this girl decided to give it a chance. Oprah asked her if Ms. Rowling had "remembered" her when she got famous. She didn't. Personally don't have time to read the books, but the movies are pretty dang good--I can't imagine how great the books must be.

me! I read the first two. then the movies were so awesome and just as good as the books, IMO, that I haven't read the others. but the books do give a little more insight/detail - especially in the beginning. the movies are visually beautiful with so much texture and magic, and tell the entire story.

My wife and I too are fans. We reserve ahead of time. Our problem is who reads the book first and no I am not touching the roles in a marriage thread in this post!!! Plus for those who know us they know who would win- her!

I have enjoyed the HP movies but for me the magic was "The Hobbit" and "Lord Of The Rings" trilogy.
