Scenic 30A closing?

[Maystrong]

Just had a vendor in our store who said he had just been by the Sheriff's office and was told that 30A would be closed at 3:00 today. No one on or off 30A at that time. Anyone heard this or can confirm this? Not that there's ever a reason to leave 30A, storm or no storm!

So is everyone on 30A really planning to leave?

[NotDeadYet]

Not on my block. Only one family leaving and they have medical issues, need electricity. The rest of us are staying.

We are on high ground, 30 plus feet. We stayed for Ivan, Dennis, etc., no storm surge problems.

Why would 30a close so soon? Is there any truth to this?

Are you south of 30A?

[NotDeadYet]

North, but not far, walking distance.

Mother Nature and Seaside Neighborhood School are the only ones who can close Scenic 30A.
