Obviously, the President and any other official can commit obstruction in this classic sense of sabotaging a proceeding’s truth-finding function. Thus, for example, if a President knowingly destroys or alters evidence, suborns perjury, or induces a witness to change testimony, or commits any act deliberately impairing the integrity or availability of evidence, then he, like anyone else, commits the crime of obstruction.

Article One of Nixon bill of impeachment, approved by House Judiciary Committee, accused Nixon of “approving, condoning, acquiescing in, and counselling witnesses with respect to...false or misleading testimony in duly instituted judicial and congressional proceedings."

Government Shutdown: Unpaid federal workers are now turning to food banks to feed families
Federal employees are losing out on some $200 million every work day, according to a report published by The New York Times Wednesday. That means the 800,000 affected workers have on average missed more than $5,000 in pay as the shutdown rolls into its fourth week.

For employees living paycheck to paycheck, this presents an impossible financial strain. Local news stations, from Chicago to Tampa to San Francisco, said federal workers had reached out to charities for support.

“We had some folks reach out to us on social media and that really started up after that first paycheck was not received,” Charla Irwin-Buncher with the Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank told local CBS affiliate KDKA Tuesday. “If we can help out by providing some supplemental assistance to help stretch those dollars that might be in the savings account a little bit further so hopefully folks don’t have to pay for groceries on a credit card.”

Polling shows America blames shutdown on man who said "I will take the mantle. I will be the one to shut it down. I’m not going to blame you for it."

    • A Quinnipiac University poll found that 56 percent of voters held Trump and congressional Republicans responsible for the shutdown (the poll did not ask about the two separately). An additional 36 percent said they thought congressional Democrats were responsible. Only 2 percent of voters said that Trump’s national address changed their mind about building a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border; 89 percent said it did not.
    • Fifty-five percent of Americans blamed Trump for the shutdown, while 32 percent pointed their fingers at congressional Democrats, according to a CNN/SSRS poll. (Respondents were not asked whether they blamed congressional Republicans.) The poll also found that most Americans did not support Trump’s proposal to build a border wall — 56 percent said they opposed the wall, and 39 percent said they were in favor of it. Those numbers are essentially unchanged from one month ago.
    • Asked for a CBS News/YouGov poll whom they blamed “the most” for the shutdown, 47 percent of Americans said Trump. Thirty percent said Democrats in Congress. Just 3 percent blamed congressional Republicans. But 20 percent of Americans placed the blame “equally” on all parties involved. The poll also found that a large majority of respondents were either “very” or “somewhat” concerned about the impact the shutdown would have on federal employees (74 percent), transportation and air travel (62 percent) and the economy (71 percent).

Nope. That's an example of the Commander in Chief excercising his powers as defined by the Constitution. Personally, I think this POTUS should ban all Congressmen/women from using military equipment for any flights. Let them fly commercial so that can mingle with the people and get a feel with what's really going on out here. They can even fly first class as far as I'm concerned.

You mean you are still relying on polls after all of them predicted Hillary? The "polls" rarely get an accurate picture, to your chagrin I'm sure, of Trump.

Why the polls are wrong about Trump. Again.

"How else can one explain that although many polls showed a close race last November, almost no one (myself included) predicted a lopsided victory for Donald Trump in the Electoral College. Most media analysts and modelers concluded a Hillary Clinton victory was in the bag. One Princeton professor even agreed to eat a bug if Trump won."

You do know that Congress is an equal branch of the government, don’t you? Possibly the most important provision in the constitution which Trump is sworn to defend.
