Do you really not understand how a border wall/fence, a physical barrier will dramatically lower the number of illegals coming across our Southern border? Please tell me this is a rhetorical question so we can have meaningful debate here.

If you need an example, look no further than when Israel built a fence network along its Southern border with Egypt, the Sinai.

Illegal entry to Israel from Egypt is a mere fraction of what it was just last year, new data from the Immigration and Population Authority has revealed.


While 9,570 citizens of various African countries entered Israel illegally in the first half of 2012, only 34 did the same in the first six months of 2013 – a decrease of over 99 percent.

I must have missed something. Seems this was Leader McConnell who wouldn't allow a vote and then when he did it was party line vote. Also did I misunderstand when the President said he would take responsibility for closing the government? Seems that the President and Speaker made their positions clear and that was the issue. From what I saw, there was no real attempt at negotiating because neither was willing to budge. Before you say the Dreamers offer, based on what I read, that was just a short term offer.

Nancy was responsible for Trump caving on his promise to gleefully shut down the government and take full credit for it. She should be hailed as a hero for teaching the five year old a lesson and not giving in to his temper tantrum.
