All hail breaks loose in Texas....literally!

New posts
Thank goodness you are OK!!! What a scary incident!! Driving in pouring rain is tough...but to have to do it with hail and a terrified dog.....:creepy:

Thanks...makes for a good story!:D (Now that it's over)

Well I'm trying to get a hold of BB to let her know about it, copied and pasted DD posting in an email and left a phone message, but looks like she's a step ahead of me.

I have to drive up to B'ham tomorrow morning. 30gAy- I just got a new car too, Can you ride shot gun with your hair dryer and protect us from the hailstorm? I have an adapter for AC/DC. No pun intended.:funn:

glad you all survived the storms - mango i will crossing my fingers you make it out on saturday !

Well, dd, I actually thought about you last night while I was flipping back and forth between the 4 local channels (until Fox 4 vanished)- the last time my car was hail damaged was in Grapevine while visiting friends. It was a week BEFORE the big one in '95- my red Plymouth Sundance looked like someone had taken a ballpean hammer to it. And the one time hail broke out a window in our house there in NRH, the hail actually bounced off the ground, broke into huge pieces and hit and cracked the window. We lucked out, here in "the Sticks" but I was watching it!

Thanks. I thought about you too. Wondered if you were getting pounded. Yes, I remember that storm in Grapevine...we were at a bar then too...hmmmm... is there a pattern here? Anyway, our friend had just gotten a new car and since he didn't have a hair dryer:floor: , he went out and threw himself on his car. But, he didn't stay long...hail got too big.

Lady, hope your family here is ok. It's been pretty widespread and sporadic damage, so hopefully, they dodged the bullet. You be safe too where you are.

My mom spoke with her niece and luckily the tornado was not near them and did not hit their neighborhood. My cousin lives on Broken Gap Rd. wherever that is in Fort Worth and her son and his wife live on Holly Ridge Ln., it was not near either place thank goodness.

 ...HAIL, this is even more terrifying reading it sober!!!!! So glad you are safe. Of course we had a bunch of new plants installed before we left! Hope they just got a good soak and not golf balled.

I hope so too...my plants seemed to do ok, so maybe yours did too. And only a couple of tiny little dents in the Pathfinder.
