Many apologies for taking so long to post about our fantastic and VERY long spring break trip that ended Tuesday. I can't believe how many SoWallers we met and how wonderful they were!! The weather was perfect and the company was even better:
March 17: Arrive in Seacrest and various people swoop in to purchase our spare furniture. (Thanks, SoWal!) Meet pgurney and her lurker friend; they are delightful and we hope to see them next time we are up!
March 18: Miss KDW and GTTBM at the Red Bar.
(Forget to wear my SoWal sticker on forehead.) See Phead yakking on cell phone outside Red Bar, which almost makes up for all of it. Weather is perfect, kids play in sand at Seacrest; Gators win. :clap_1:
March 19-20: Assorted painting duties and furniture moving makes neck hurt. Vow to take day off. Weather still perfect.
March 21: Make it to first SoWal luncheon at Coco's despite major traffic tangle on 98. Meet JDarg, Kate, Gypsea and Rapunzel!!
Adore them all. Everyone is so nice and it doesn't seem like we just met. Visit beach with family later that day. Sand is squeaky and weather still perfect.
March 22: Bday in SoWal! Get a wonderful massage at For the Health of It. :clap_1: :clap_1: :clap_1: Neck and back immediately feel better! Meet Kurt, Toots and Spidey at Grayton for late afternoon playdate. Instantly recognize Spidey's "famous" Tonka truck. Ride in back of Kurt's pickup. Kids love it. Like everybody else before us, we've found our new funn spot at the beach. It's more funn with friends of course. 
End Bday by heading to Onano in Rosemary for a wonderful grouper dinner, and heading next door to The Courtyard for some nice wine. Perfect!!
March 23: Weather still perfect. Head to Amore for lunch with Jdarg, Punzy, Skunky, Beachmom, Toots and assorted kids (two of them mine). Great food and lots of funn. I could get used to these SoWal gatherings! Spend the afternoon working on house then grab dinner at Wild Olives. Oh, and Gators win.
March 24: Make the long trek to Bed Bath and Beyond. Realize later that Target has everything BB&B has only 25 percent cheaper. Never again! Hubby leaves for New Orleans. Weather is perfect. Boys play too many video games while I work on house. Peel paint off my hands then pack up the crew and bring them to Grayton for Punzy and Skunky's birthday soiree. It's the best part of the whole week! We get to meet SJ, the Beachmom family, all the Dargs, Jessifunn, one or two others whose names I can't remember 
and ... at last ... the Mercouple! The boys and Katiefunn are entranced by it all. Katiefunn grins and drools a lot while the boys stay busy playing in the lake, wolfing down hotdogs and having serious conversations with SJ. We leave at bedtime and everyone falls asleep in the car.
March 25: Merman and Mermaid interrupt my boring home improvements (and Gator football watching) by popping over during their bike ride. They are a hoot! It is the highlight of my day. That and the Gators' win. :roll:
March 26: More boring home improvements but the unheated Seacrest pool is actually quite tolerable so I take the boys over so they can swim. Weather still perfect. House almost finished.
March 27: Whirlwind of more painting and fixing ... leave at 4 p.m., longest trip ever! Whew! So busy but so FUNN!!!!! Thanks SoWallers for helping make it special. :clap_1: :clap_1: :clap_1:

Most of the time I was holding either a paint roller or Katiefunn (or both 
) so did not use the camera as much as I would have liked. Did get some shots of the house on my way out the door. :roll:
