Come to the beach with me!

New posts
As you get older it is harder and harder to keep the weight of. If you find a routine that you are happy with and stick with it, you will find that you can eat just about anything you want to eat. As long as it in moderation. I work out in my basement twice a week for 2 and 1/2 hours each night. I work with the weights and I do cardio on a gazelle. For me I find that this works and if I miss a night I can really tell. As long as you have the will power to stick to your routine you will be happy with yourself and the way you look and feel. It is to the point now where it is a competition with my boys to see who looks better by the time we are going to the beach.

My inspiration to exercise is to take my shirt off and do twenty jumping jacks in front of a mirror. That'll do it every time.

That's because you are still young. You can do that and get away with it. I am jealous as heck.

No, I'm saying seeing my fat jiggle all over the place inspires me to go exercise. It's a terrible sight.

Well, I'm not into South Beach, but I'll do what I can for moral support. I follow a low fat, high fiber regimen and prefer to think of it as a lifestyle change more than a diet. I don't count calories, just try to keep my fat grams below 30 and my fiber grams above 30. I have been doing this since the beginning of November and lost 35 pounds so far (the holidays were tough, but when I cheated a little, I added an extra workout to compensate.)
Linda, that is wonderful! I too find that I lose the most weight this way-counting fat grams-although lately, I think I've been counting to see how many I can consume in one day!! :bang: I tried the SBD last summer and lost about 17, but then I started drinking at the beach--and eating--and I just kept right on through Christmas! :bang: Now, if I could just get that exercise thing down :idontno:

It's the wine that adds it on me (well, that and being a lazy a$$). Anyway, no vino for 2 weeks)

That too. The older I get, the longer the list of foods I can't seem to resist!
Me too! Pretty soon I'm gonna be reduced (no pun intended) to rice noodles and water! :bang:
