Feed the Animals

[NewfieGirl]

My friend e-mailed this message to me today and the website appears to be real. I figure if I post it here then I am good for a while on telling 10 friends to tell ten friends..... has anyone else tried this? Seems easy enough to do daily... I'll click it during my morning cup of coffee! Anything for the animals

My dear animal friendly friends,

Hi, all you animal lovers. This is pretty simple. Please tell tenfriends to tell ten today!

The Animal Rescue Site is having trouble getting enough people to click on it daily to meet their quota of getting free food donated every day to abused and neglected animals.

It takes less than a minute to go to their site and click on "feed ananimal in need" for free. This doesn't cost you a thing.Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate food to abandoned/neglected animals in exchange for advertising.

Here's the web site! Pass it along to people you know.

AGAIN, PLEASE TELL 10 FRIENDS!!

Josh, that's a great idea and there's certainly room in this world to care for both people in need and animals. Especially the animals, because not only do they provide such love for us, but they are unable to speak for themselves.

Are you hungry Joshie? Can't help ya here from New York.

Seriously, if you find a feed the people web site, we will click on it.

That's a fantastic idea... just post the link and I will be glad to add it to my morning routine.

I am just wondering if the Animal Rescue Site will send me food... these two big dogs are eating me out of house and home! :funn:

The funny thing is, if you clicked on the link, it's a tab on the hungersite website, which DOES feed people. It actually was founded to feed people, and expanded to raise money for breast cancer, child health, the rainforest, literacy, and animal rescue.

From the website:

About The Hunger Site
The Hunger Site was founded to focus the power of the Internet on a specific humanitarian need: the eradication of world hunger. Since its launch in June 1999, the site has established itself as a leader in online activism, helping to feed the world's hungry. On average, over 220,000 individuals from around the world visit the site each day to click the yellow "Help Feed The Hungry" button. To date, more than 200 million visitors have given more than 300 million cups of staple food.

The staple food funded by clicks at The Hunger Site is paid for by site sponsors and distributed to those in need by Mercy Corps and America's Second Harvest. 100% of sponsor advertising fees goes to our charitable partners. Funds are split between these organizations and go to the aid of hungry people in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Latin America and North America.

Very cool website! I have added this one to my favorites as well as the animal one and will click them both each morning. Thanks for sharing!

They are younger in that picture, it's one of my many favorites of them. They are two years old now but are still adorable.... just bigger! Thanks for the compliment! Here is a more recent photo of them
