Does anyone actually use phonebooks anymore?

Even my anti-technology self uses them for cockroach homicides not finding a phone number (as I watch VHS videos and eat off plates older than me :roll.

Google or calling information is how I get numbers - new businesses usually aren't in the books, plus hours and menus are usually out of date.

I think some of our local businesses could pioneer the idea of not advertising in them.

Would anyone be willing to sign a petition to stop the littering by whoever is publishing/delivering these phone books? I was going to start one, but when i went out to get them to find the publisher, some dog had crapped on them. Can someone help me? Or start one? Maybe collectively we can get Sheriff Adkinson behind us and stop the incessant littering of our streets in Walton County. Also, does this happen North of the bay in less populated areas, or just down here at the beach?
