You give your weekly ten percent protection money and wham! something like this happens in the big mans own house no less. How long would you continue to pay the mafia for protection you didn't get? I guess the answer is the same as how long would you support a political party that didn't represent your best interests.

I think with the Mafia you get more predictability if not greater moral authority.
