I Was born and raised in this godawful area. You're thinking of Florala, hence the name Flor ala. (Is that stoopid or what). Next to Paxton.
Opp is about 15 mi. n. of Andalusia.
what??? I love florala. you were born and raised there? no, I have never actually even stopped there. but I love driving through it and have done so 100 times or more.

No, I was born in Opp and lived in Andalusia. Florala was near, knew kids there, played their highschool in football, etc. There's NOTHING in Florala. It was always one of the most depressing places ever when I was a kid. I felt so fortunate to be growing up in Andalusia. :funn:.
(The only good thing about Florala was we could drink alcohol at 18 there.)

Kelly used to work at the red bar, Boog (brant) at d&ks. Kelly works for Coastal Insuance and Boog works for me. A lot of people know them here.
The party was originally supposed to be at the sea bar on Saturday, but that didn't work out (never mind why). Since they have so many friends, that they told "Sea Bar" They wanted to let everyone know about the change in plans. Boog wanted to give her a nice 40th and that he did. There were probably 100 people there at one time.
As far as I know there was no one there from Opp or Ohio (Kelly is originally from indiana) for that matter. Despite the lack of representation from South Al and the lack of smart ass yankees from "somewhere up there", a good time was had by all. I know southern hospitality is a little hard to understand.
