I've never had one either. But I do them myself and I always get tons of compliments! I love fancy sandals so I always have great toes!

JR...you should treat yourself to a salon pedicure....sit in the chair with the massage mode , having your legs and feet scrubbed, massaged, lotioned up, and getting toes painted (not outside of the lines...LOL ...like I do). It is truly GREAT!!! BTW...LOVE fancy sandals!!!!:clap_1:

OPI has a new line of colors out for spring...I just got You Rock-A-Pulco Red or something like that. I think there's about 8 new colors. I still love I'm Not Really a Waitress by OPI for my toes.

One of my favorites, too! I'm trying to figure out how I want mine for the wedding--funky or traditional? You can't see my toes under my dress, but you will all week if I'm at the beach!

I know, but I'm afraid I would become addicted. Besides, I'm like Audie, my feet are soo tickelish (sp?).

I've been seeing french manicures on toes. Opinions?

I always do a french on my toes and most othe time on my finger nails. Call me boring but I just love how clean and fresh it makes them look and feel.

However, reading about all of these cool colors that are out for Spring, I may just have to try one of them.

So it looks like prices for mannies and peddies are pretty well standard and we all go to those little Vietnamese shops in lieu of the fancy spas. Birds of a feather flock together! :clap_1:

Tatertot, where's the place in Destin? I'm thinking that that might be a good thing to know about if you have a teenage daughter and it's a rainy day at the beach. Just in case.

I've only been there once because it's a new place. I think it's called "Rose something...." I'll get the specifics this weekend for everyone. I have very happy with the job they did. It's across from destin commons in that shopping center. Sorry for the sketchy details. I'm horrible with names AND directions. more to come....

I did that all last summer. Loved it! It looks great with tanned toes. My daughter said she heard it was "out" this year. I think she read it in a magazine last week as they did her toes in the french mani. She doesn't believe everything she reads. We're in KY so if it's out of style we won't know it until next season. That's our story and we're sticking to it!

I did mine that way last summer for a couple weeks. I LIKE it b/c it matches ANYTHING you wear and I think it looks classy. (is it possible for toes to look classy??) Anway, the only reason i didn't like it was that i LOVE wearing bright colors in the summer like I mentioned before.

As far as being in style...I haven't seen anyone doing it at the beach so far this summer, but it's still early!

Exactly why I like it, it goes with everything. In answer to your question...no toes cna not look too classy  I'll have french toes at the beach no matter what everyone else has. The only time I switch to color is if I break a nail real short, the french looks funny then.

I'm with you Cheering - if it goes out of style - I'll just be out of style!

I'm totally into neutral. I got a mani and a pedi this week in O.P.I. "Mimosas for Mr. and Mrs." If I go GaToR cRaZy this weekend, I might paint everything Sephora #60 (ORANGE). My favorite Christmas color is Clinique's Pure Red with a glaze of Hot Candy's Homicide over it. For Halloween each nail is half Sephora #60 and any generic black with an Old Navy black/orange glitter on top. Easter is Easter egg colors - orange, bright pink, turquoise, lime green, and lavender, one color per finger/toe. In the summer I like Hard Candy's Pulp - it looks orange when you have on orange, pink when you have on pink, and gold otherwise (how does it know?????). That is, except when I run the Peachtree, and then I go red and white stripes on every other nail, and a blue background with white dots on the others.

Be careful with red polish on the toes - the fishies in the Gulf will bite you! I'm serious.

Oh, yeah, y'all were talking prices. In my small town (not the drop-in places which I refuse to go to because they don't require that each customer supplies his/her own set of manicure tools), a mani is $28 plus tip and a pedi is $35 plus tip.
