Lion King

New posts
Just got back..we went to PF Changs for dinner before the show. Jeesh, it's getting harder and harder to choose restaurants with these 2 picky kids. I wanted to go to Buca Di Beppo downtown but Dylan doesn't like Italian. So we ate at our end of town and headed downtown afterwards.

We made our way to the theater and and found our seats in the lower balcony. We had 2 seats in one row and 2 seats right behind those. It worked out really well. We admired the ceiling before the show started.;-) It started right on time and during that first scene, I was in total awe and amazement. I had happy tears and chills.
When Sam was almost 2 years old The Lion King had just came out on video and she got it in her Easter basket. It was the first movie she ever watched all the way through. She watched in over and over again, she had a stuffed "Baba"that went everywhere with her, ( Simba) and Mr OL and I could quote Lion King lines at will.

"Life's not fair, is it? You see, I... well, I shall never be king. And you... shall never see the light of another day."( one of my favs)

So you see, The Lion King is near and dear to our hearts.

My other favorite scenes were "Be Prepared" in the elephant graveyard and one of the new songs that Mufasa and Simba sing about faith. Of course I loved all the dance scenes and the costumes were ingenius, incredible, and amazing. I would love to go again!!! Every seat was sold out and they prob are for the next month but I may have to check.

Right before we left I grabbed Sam's camera and then when I went to take a picture outside the theater the battery went dead. :( So no pictures...and we looked pretty good too. We rarely dress up but we did tonight. It was a funnnn night.

Grayt trip report. My cat is named Simba after The Lion King. He's getting pretty old. It was also partly because Simba roughly translates to simple one.
