RIP: Sidney Sheldon

[drunkkenartist]

Sidney Sheldon has died at the age of 89. He was one of my favorite authors. I've read nearly all his books. His works received numerous awards. He was also the creator of the show "I Dream of Jeanie". Its because of him that I've always wanted to be a writer.
The Other Side of Midnight and If Tomorrow Ever Comes are some of my favorites.

Thank you Sidney for making up a huge chunk of my library.:clap_1:

He had a good long life and yes, he wrote books that were so much funn to read. His books had all the best ingredients--adventure, romance, sex, intrigue!! I used to eat them up. :clap_1:

OMG - When I was a young woman, my MOM gave me "The Other Side of Midnight" to read, and I vividly remember a passage in the book where a young lady uses something other than a banana to make a banana split - LOL. But it was a great book, I finished it and I have a very short attention span (I'm ashamed to say it, but as an adult I've probably read less than a dozen books from start to finish.) This one definitely made an impression. So RIP Sidney - thanks for, well, forever changing the way I looked at my mom.

That said, maybe this thread needs to move to the lounge!

How does one get a thread moved? I want this Banana Split Recipe!

The Other Side of Midnight was one of the few books that had a good sequel as well.

I'm ready to go back and reread them all, just thinking about it. Good stuff.
