SNOW!!! I can't believe it

New posts
Enjoy your snow day!!! You'll have to let us know how everyone handled the roads and schedule change.
Schools were closed in East Br Parish so that included us. However the parish where we live did not close schools. The look of the kids on the bus, they wanted to play so bad. The beautiful flakes are gone and now the ugly stuff is here. Power is going out all over the place due to heavy snow laden branches. One of our crepe myrtles branches snapped due to the weight. I fear that the interstate is crazy and accidents will be all over the place. I am glad we are here safe and have plenty of baking items to keep us busy.

I'm so jealous!!!! I want snow!! By your location, do you live in Auborn or Tallahassee?:floor:
LOL! oh, LSU is the team in which I was referring. I think now have decided on a QB, they have alot of work to do.

I thought of you this morning when I heard the weather reports. Pretty pics!

Remember this???? I am in the middle of reclaiming my favorite places...Mr. K "fixed" my computer by reinstalling Windows XP last night. I may never be the same and I am so behind on emails, it makes me . But, when I saw this, I jsut had to send it to you!

I am SO jealous of your snow! Thanks for the pics!

:yikes:Do you know when this may happen? I can't wait!

Folks in the northern part of the Florida Panhandle have a chance of seeing snow flurries this evening, though no accumulation is expected.
An upper low trying to move out of Louisiana into Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia has some snow associated with it. The Panhandle -- especially right near the Alabama border -- is on the southern fringes.
"It's going to be mostly light rain," said Eric Esbensen, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Mobile. "It looks like most of the weather is going to lift to the north."
He added that, in Florida, temperatures would likely stay warm enough to prevent anything other than a possible flurry.

cool, we don't have tv. I think our Direct TV dish is too covered and/or is blocked by the thick clouds. anyone? anyone?? :idontno:

If you can get to it, go out and and brush off the dish. You should be fine. You can spray the front of it with with a hose if it's too far away...
