SOWAL is gonna get weather

New posts
It's getting really dark and the bay is eerily quiet.

I'm not scared. I ordered Au Revoir Les Enfants and have been waiting for a rainy day to watch it. I love movies with subtitles on a rainy day. Just crossing my fingers the power doesn't go out and no trees come down!

you had better go get a candle and a book, because I have a feeling that the power and or cable will not be connected when this storm passes through. ;-) Fortunately for you, the subcontractors just finished mowing all of the trees and bushes and grass, (including in the designated wetland areas :bang:), under the power lines along CR 283, but that won't help in the local hoods in your area. So which book will you be reading? Forget the movie anyway. FYI - The best movie around is the storm which we are about to witness. Open the windows and feel the power of Mother Nature.

The weather guy on Ch7 just said that the strongest winds right now were over Sandestin/Miramar area with straight line winds of up to 60 mph. No circular activity yet.

Since you will not be seeing any Sunset photos from today, I thought that I would share yesterday's Sunset from the 331 bridge.

We had the storms last night around 11:00 p.m. and then the worst came in around 5:30 a.m. this morning and lasted until around 7:00. Power was knocked out until around 7:15 a.m. Had high winds, thought I heard hail, had heavy rain. Had near two inches of rain between last night and this morning. More storms supposedly to come this evening here. The wind was kind of scary this morning.
