The boys, I think, really look like their mom. I wonder if Jake is back in treatment? I hope so.

I hope so too. Maybe we'll find out during the finale.

I expected last week's espisode to be tough, but I think last night's show was even tougher for me. Several emotional parts, but I really boo hooed when the Northwestern pulled out of the harbor and passed the Cornelia Marie at the dock. The Discovery camera crew did a nice job.

And it was really interesting to hear from the boys' mother.

I felt the same way. I thought last week would be the tear jerker, but turns out last night was more emotional, I thought. Yeah, when the Northwestern pulled out and passed the CM and Edgar waved, I just fell apart. So touching. The after show too, like I said, I thought was great.

I think poor ol' Sig was that close (thumb and forefinger held just apart) to losing it when he visited the Cornelia Marie and found out. His face and brow got very very furrowed several times before he left.
Hard to tell which boat took it the hardest. The Northwestern crew was definitely affected.

Interesting side note...
This was one of maybe two episodes (ish) during the whole series run where we have seen Norman Hansen. He's the third brother but chooses not to be on the show despite being on the crew. He was the one who arm wrestled Jake over wearing his hat crooked or straight.

You're right! Wasn't Norman more visible maybe a few seasons ago, or did I just dream that? Or...maybe I was drunk.

Oh no!! I just read that the Hillstrand brothers and Sig have all quit. Does this mean that both the Northwestern and the Time Bandit are out? This is not a good omen for the future of the show.

Yup...down to three boats. Timing-wise, they should be close to cranking up filming. No word on Discovery's site, yet.

This does not bode well for the show...

Glad it worked out. I can't help but think that the kind of money that both the captains and Discovery are making is a really good incentive to compromise.
