The Red Square Nebula

BB, I got your e-mail but had seen this one already, but the others were really cool that I didn't see. :clap_1:
I'll post the link, I have to find it.

Did you spot this with your telescope Mango? Last night coming into SOWAL, the crescent moon was setting into the bay;moon was blood red and was being escorted into the horizon by Venus. Gorgeous.

No, no one has seen this before that anyone has made published.
I would love to see this through telescope. I suppose if you find that star they were looking for, we might see this, but not as red if you don't have combined infrared telescopes.

It's a beauty though.

The moon was pretty last night. Finally a sunset after all the rain, rain, rain we have had.

We went out last night to see a play and that's what I thought too, when we were walking back to our car afterward. It was the kind of moon that reminded me of that nursery rhyme, When the Dish Ran Away With the Spoon. It was a perfectly beautiful moon, the kind they illustrate in books.

Very cool................our little Sowal Space Cadets.
