It does have a decent anti-calc feature if you have hard water, but if you decide to go buy a more expensive model, using distilled water prolongs the life of your iron.

Oh, the Rowentas are so nice, but I've never been able to bring myself to splurge. I'll check out the ones you mentioned, though, and the Amazon sale.

Oh, the Rowentas are so nice, but I've never been able to bring myself to splurge. I'll check out the ones you mentioned, though, and the Amazon sale.

I have a cheap one, ($20 or so) in SoWal, (actually 2 ) and it works grayt. I have a tendency to knock my irons down by accident because I am clutz, so I am still hesitant to buy a more expensive model myself for home, but one can dream.

I use tap water in my iron. :shock: That is, when I iron (usually once a month or less.)

Actually, a festive toe cover would be practical and fashionable. Tootsie's little tootsies are exposed to the harsh cold winter air lol: ), and while a sock will work fine, a special cover that fits over the cast would be funn.

I know there are some SoWallers with skillz out there!!
