I think there were at least 2 other things that cut her lead. One was the "deplorables" remark, the other was her getting sick and collapsing. Any one of those 3 things could have made the difference IMO. I do think some people wanted Trump to lose but for purely irrational and emotional reasons couldn't bring themselves to vote for Hillary. They actually wanted her to win, and figured she had it in the bag. They either voted third party or for no one. Clearly they weren't paying attention to the polls, which were quite alarming in the final 2 weeks. I actually know someone who wrote on Rand Paul. Like WTF was that supposed to accomplish?
The Repubs had been smearing her for about three years at that point. Benghazi, Benghazi, Benghazi. (You know she personally murdered those four guys, don't you?) Seriously, even if you don't believe something intellectually, you actually believe it emotionally.

Okay yes I agree but one bad remark and one dizzy spell should not have made that election so close. You can even try to blame in on Bernie but Something was going on and the Clinton Campaign did not pick up on it. Even Bill tried to tell her. You know that this election should not be that close right? Trump has turned politics into a participation sport and he plays dirty. The only way you beat dirty is with better talent, better preparation and better fans. Biden is talented enough and hopefully prepared enough but don't forget the fans. Enthusiasm makes everything easier. Let's Make America Better and have fun doing it!

Hillary was a weak candidate for sure. I think Biden is stronger and has more positives going for him. Problem is that Trump is cruel and that's what his supporters find appealing.

No, the single deciding factor in Hillary’s loss was Comey sending a letter to Congress on Oct. 28 announcing an investigation into emails that turned out to be nothing. This resulted in her lead in the polls being cut in half. No one got complacent and trump didn’t run a genius campaign.

And the 45 guy who started campaign rallies with 'lock her up' went to jail? 'They' have actually been hating her since her husband assigned her the task of creating universal healthcare. Dirty trick repubs knew then to begin attacking her. Ellen

Its like the Satanic child trafficking. You just mention it and Democrats in the same sentence and people freak out.

To be honest I did not realize how much sexism and misogyny was out there. Well Trump and republicans and some democrats woke me up when Hillary lost. It was like a lightening bolt. It made me more aware of all the oppression that women have had to endure. It made me feel very shameful in my privilege as a man. I now support women in most all elections. I hope Biden wins and he sets the stage for a female President and I believe he will. But I still have that nagging instinct telling me it is not a done deal. I believe there is work to do and we do not need to be complacent.

Well, it wasn't lack of experience that made her weak. Or lack of determination (think about it). Or lack of campaign contributions. Or lack of name recognition. Or intelligence. So what made her a weak candidate?

She was not always forthright and was not trusted. I had no real problem with her. She was no worse than the average politician.

Definitely some of her problems as a candidate were not her fault at all and were due to misogyny.

That makes Donald J. Trump the weakest candidate that has probably ever run for public office :) And yet I feel like this is a close race with a much stronger opponent having more honest and sincere standards. Don't you get the feeling that something is not adding up?
