I'll be working. Somewhere about midnight I should be driving back home. Maybe I'll pull onto the side of the road at the witching hour and hugggg a deer!

JR, thanks for the reminder on the sparkling grape juice. I forgot to get some, for the kiddies that is. ;-)We're starting a new tradition just this year and going out for dinner with friends for cuisine we wouldn't ordinarily try. This year it's German. Next year, I hope to get Mr. JR to try Indian (but he keeps saying no.)
Tootsie, some of our most fun NYE's was when our son was anywhere from about 7 - 12 yrs. old. The 3 of us stayed home and rented semi-scary movies (Jaws, Tremors, The Shining, etc.) & other movies that were pg13 that he wasn't allowed to watch w/out us. We'd have junk food and appetizers all night, then pop the sparkling grape juice at midnight and watch the ball drop. He loved being able to stay up way past midnight.
We skipped the parties during these times in favor of spending it as a family.
Now that he's older and doing his own parties, Mr. JR & I have been venturing out on NYE - close to home still because they all usually end up back at our house.

...I remember this! We had a competition! Happy Birthday, Jayden!Going out to dinner and then probably make our way down to the Red Bar.
Now hear this....I am NOT going to be dancing on the bar at the Red Bar this year. No confetti thrown at me by kimmifunn and no sharing champagne out of the bottle with Phead! Dammm...now that I think about it...it sounds like funn.
We are going to have appetizers and cocktails, then go to the WC party. I am wearing sequins and feathers.
Toots...we used to go out for an early dinner, come home, catch a movie on TV and celebrate New York New Year's so we could get to bed. Then we starting coming to sowal and acting like fools. (well, maybe jsut me)

Although it doesn't have a cork, Fresca works well for the kiddies. That NA Sparkling crap tastes horrible.
