What are you doing on the eve of the new year???

New posts
Tootsie, your tickets to the WaterColor NYE party are ready to collect. Em has them. Let me know if you need her number.

Kitty, I hope you are going for peacock feathers. I hear they are all the rage this year. I spoke with Dread Clampitt earlier today, and they are practicing the Hokey Pokey so you shake your tail feathers all about. Looks like WaterColor will be hoppin. They were setting up earlier today, and it is looking pretty cool. Dread Clampitt is playing on the Green (outside the ballroom, so you ladies might consider ditching the heals when outside on the lawn, rather than wearing heals on the grass.)

Oh, and lets not forget, for the brave-hearted, on the beach at WaterColor, Jan 1, 2009, 9:00am, the local Polar Bears will be braving the 68F degree Gulf water, and taking the plunge, but wear your swimsuit, because someone will surely be shooting video to post on the internet.

...you were in the 'hood and didn't stop by? Not acceptable.

The way things are panning out this vacation I'm sure I will be playing a rousing game of Fact or Crap followed by watching that same yutz jump his motorcycle on TV like last year.

woo hoo...

I'm going to a big house par-tay at my sisters. There will be a house full of loony adults and adorable kids. Apparently, there is soooo much food that I don't need to make a thing. Just bring lots of champagne. My kind of New Years.

Toots, when I was a kid my parents gave us chianti mixed with root beer. I know it sounds like clamato, but it actually is pretty good and it knocked us out earlier.

I was planning on winning the Watercolor New Years contest--free New Years festivities for four, but jdarg won, and has not telephoned me yet ? So I am waiting by the phone for now!:idontno:

going to WC...bought the tickets this morning from some nice girl who gave us a tour...still don't know what I'm wearing....i don't have any purple and blue feathers

I've decided. we're going to the beach on this gorgeous day, score some appalach oysters, then home to have some dinner, play uno, and eat cheese doritoes til midnight. and watch football. and the big ball drop in NYC.

mangy - chianti and root beer???? and you kids drank it? how funny! wonder if it was spiked with benadryl.

spidey is determined to stay up til midnight and beyond. fine with me. I'll give it a try.

What will I be doing? Working- that has been the tradition for the majority of my adult NYE, working at some hospital. And I really don't mind- it some ways it is a good way to start a new year.

What would I LIKE to be doing? The few times we dressed up and went out to dinner, I enjoyed that. But I always wanted to do the big hotel bash with confetti, noisemakers and midnight champagne.

Next to that, staying home with DH and drinking champagne is my favorite.
