Tales of Romance, Valentine Style

...i used to take the girls from the office out to dinner about twice a year at another of our hotels up the street. she worked at the other hotel and knew the girls, and joined us. i was still involved with the french woman so i had no intentions of anything. she made it a point to come around our hotel quite often(they're on the same street) and then started joining in with the skating crew on weekends and going to regional races with the club. she was also a bartender at caliente cab on waverly(a searing combination for me, as i was no longer on the wagon)

eventually, i succomb to her advances and spend the night. things are quite heated to say the least, and even the workplace is fair game. valerie(french woman) catches wind of my activities and things are very tumultuous in my life. I have the opportunity to go to telluride and tour a new property that we will open, and kaia goes as well, as she is up for transfer also. there are no secrets in the skating club and of course valerie finds out. i get back on same day we have tickets to the dead at msg. she's not speaking to me.

things go from bad to worse while attempting to help her pick out a walkman. she attacks me with fists in the middle of 72/b'way while we're both on skates, sending us both down right in the middle of traffic.

i take the transfer, thankfully for all involved, and end up in telluride. kaia moves out a couple of months later into my company owned apt. things are rocky from the start. arrests and jail follow...

did i mention that i really blew it with valerie? one that i really should have tried to not loose.

John R...OMG. I never knew this side of you.

And on another note...Caliente Cab Company has been around that long???

I'm still waiting for more.

Keep it coming John R. This is the best novel I have read in a long time. BTW...I would have beat you up as well. ;-)

I am a freshman at SMU, have a boyfriend at UT (Texas), but we are dating other people. Friend from Houston sets me up on a blind date. We go out for a while and then I meet Mr. K, who is from blind date's hometown, Belleville and in the same frat. It was crush at first sight. Break up with UT boyfriend. So my friend and the blind date end up together and Mr. K finally asks me out beginning of my sophomore year (he was a junior). Mr. K showed me where the library was at SMU and used to make me study. We set up another friend from Houston with another of the frat friends. We all three eventually marry the frat boys. Mr. K and I are the only ones still married!!! It will be 30...yes 30 years in July!

Congrats as well, but out of curiosity, which Belleville? Michigan?
