Turnabout Dance Question

New posts
LMAO, JR. I think what Audie really wanted was an iron. :idontno:

Back to the topic at hand, when I went to a turnabout dance in high school, I paid for everything, including dinner at The Pump Room, but he did get me flowers (but I kind of forgot about that after I caught him making out with another girl later in the evening. I think it was the one and only high school dance I ever went to!)

lindasmartypants - i already have 3 irons, i don't need another one ! :D i can't believe i just admitted to that....

When this happened to my son he asked what color she was wearing and what her flower preference was. This lets her know he's doing the flowers so she won't do it herself. (Some girls are afraid the date won't and get them just in case. Double flowers means they go to you mom) The girl bought the tickets to the dance and my son paid for everything else...dinner etc.

Post pics please:D

I raised three sons, and you're right on as to how it's done. In each case where my sons were asked to a school dance by the girl, the girl bought the tickets and the boys paid for everything else, including flowers for the girl.:D

Yeah, we talked about it last night with our son. Even Mr. JR agreed (shock! I mean, it's coming out of our pockets) that other than the tickets, everything else should be paid for by the son. Once we heard that the tickets were $20/each, that's when we made the decision.

Don't worry when they get married it's cheaper to be the parent of the groom. Not cheap mind you, just cheaper.

 the pics! It appears all had a good time. Handsome fellow you have!

so did everyone enjoy the dance ? great pics by the way :clap_1:
I believe so. I just woke him up and it's 7am! He has to play his cello in a string ensemble at church this morning. If he had told me weeks ago that last night was the dance, I wouldn't have committed him to play this morning!!! :bang:

The hardest part of asking a girl out was waiting for an answer after she finished laughing.

yeah, until you get married, then the wallet snaps shut with an audible bang !

Aww now, Mr. Audie has bought you a washer & dryer, and a stove, right?

ya'll have it wrong - i got a new bed (because the old water tube bed exploded) and a new oven for christmas (because i bout burnt the kitchen up)...i am dreaming of a new washer/dryer.....maybe someday :D

every time we go out to eat or bring something home (which is often) i always pay, and then when i run out of money and ask mr audie for some cash, he says and i quote "what the hell did you do with all your money this week". i think i will start cutting his allowance in half and keep the other half for myself.;-)

:rolling: :lolabove: :floor:  you guys are killing me.

funn thread. glad the dance was a success!
