Be not afraid

New posts
i didn't mean to offend anyone by my posting on this thread - i just don't take a posting like this too seriously any time, much less in the lounge... next time i will just not respond, because i know a lot of people are very serious about religion and i don't want to ridicule that....
Audie, you are so sweet. That's generous of you to offer your apology but it's probably not necessary. We can all open a thread - - some are read, some aren't. No biggie. Some posts can be serious for some and not for others!

Warning - There are opinions contained herein

I chose to read this story and read every word. It was a very encouraging story from a mother who had a preemie and was understandably afraid. I hope that it will help just the right person.

Now on another note. I realize my way of life is not "normal" to most people. I go to prayer on Tuesday night, church on Wednesday night, Sunday morning and Sunday night. I don't drink anymore, I don't cuss anymore and I no longer smoke (even though somehow I was in on the first SoWal smokin' drinkin' party and innocently learned a new name you could call somebody):lolabove:

I try to be uplifting and encouraging to people by showing the love that was shown to me by Jesus. I have a inner sense of peace no matter what the situation. At my house, we don't downgrade each other, condemn each other or try to make the other person feel badly about themselves. There is joy, much laughter, good times and a feeling of acceptance for anyone who enters. If this way of life is abnormal, so be it. I've never been happier or felt more fulfilled.

I hope and pray if one of my fellow SoWallers ever needs me, they will reach out. I'll be there in a heartbeat whether by internet or phone (in person if I'm lucky;-) ). Our time on this earth is short and nothing we can physically touch will make any difference in the end. The only thing that matters will be if you know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Every human being has the potential of being saved from what will happen on this earth one day. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. I'd love to share with you!

Love,
BC

unsolicited inspirational postings make me sad. I am happy for Mr. McLean that he has the time and takes effort to seek and post daily advice, but i question his delivery method here. Apparently, he does this quite well on some site known to a select few. maybe a posting providing a link to said site would suffice. this way those who choose to read them could go there. i know we all have the ability to not open a specific post if we question it's contents, or it's sender, but this is the lounge, where virtually everything is opened by everyone. perhaps if this will become a regular thing, another more fitting area of the board could be chosen, ie: Environmental, Political, Social Issues

ymmv

I think there should be a forum just called "Issues", since we all have at least one, or two, or many....

BC--sweet post. I feel better just knowing you'd be there if I ever needed you. You're a doll!

Oh man jdarg...I bet I could start with A and end with Z and not list them all. I have been feeling very issuey lately. But, all those things make me, well...ME! :clap_1:

I know what you mean, like the fact that I want to tell my boss "Bite Me" during tax season.:pissed: I'm really good at counting to 10 and learning more and more patience every day....

I understand the reasonings for such postings. I didn't read it though. I know God loves me, I know He's there for me and is probably a lot more reliable than my parents (who've never let me down). I don't really need the constant reminder. I've come to ignore those posts on Myspace that urge you to post a "Jesus loves you" message under another bulletin heading because, apparently, people won't pay attention to it if it does. I kind of understand that.

But right now, I'm praying to the god of my comfy bed.
Since I'm a monotheist, it's the same one I pray to for everything else.

And man, do I thank Him for my bed!!!

MAN-go calls my issuey moods PMS. (Partly Missing SoWal)
I think we just need some Jumbos at the beach. Issues solved.
