Really? What do you do with it when the rechargeable battery dies?

From what I understand, the songs which you download from ITunes are a hassle to get back on the Pod. Good Luck.

you do what apple wants you to - buy another....

I think you throw it away when the battery doesn't charge anymore. I think it'll last long enough and then you're supposed to buy the next generation iPod. Dylan' s is a year newer than Sam's and his battery stays charged twice as long as hers did.

It's not difficult to get songs back on your ipod. It's diffficult to get songs back on your computer from you ipod if your computer has crashed. I had to download some non-apple patch after this happened to us.

you got that right

I had heard that since they have download restrictions for ITunes, that it was rather difficult to prove which songs you had already paid for, when it comes to restoring a mucked up IPod. That entire technology is one of the downsides of downloading music directly to the IPod rather than your puter where you can make back up copies. However, I am not an IPodder, so I don't know anything other than what I hear about it from IPodders.

try putting apple downloads on a sony machine - does not compute ! you gotta start all over....

I can't believe it. The iPod (nano) is working!!! I probably should have waited a little longer before trying to turn it on but curiousity got the best of me.

It's a little "cloudy" on the screen but very readable. That may even get better as it dries out more.

The screen looks like this at the moment...

I'm hopeful that this is all going to end well.

Thanks! She was hoping to make the football squad..I told her b-ball's better b/c you won't have to cheer in the heat/snow or rain!

If the ipod holds out until December, I'll be happy. She got it Christmas 2005 and like I mentioned before the battery only last for about 3 hours. That's just not long enough.

 Congrats to Sam!!!:D She gets to cheer more games at basketball as well. More congrats on the working Ipod. Nothing like thngs going well to make the day better.

YAY!!! So glad:clap:

I just now found this thread. Great news now that it works again!

Do you have a Sony store in a mall near you? We've had to take numerous Ipod's there to have one of their "Geniuses" (Sony trained salesclerk) work on them. They really can work miracles, for free too. They might be able to do a little clean up on it and finish drying it out.
