There you go. Me too!!!

ok , here is mine.
I had just graduated from college and moved home. I was in a very serious relationship and so was Mr. IBD.(relationship for 6 years)
I walked into a restaraunt for a job interview. Mr. IBD saw me and went and called his mom telling her that his future wife just walked through the door. She, of course, thought he was full of BS. Anyway, I got the job and we ended up in the same server training class. I still remember he had on a Jimmy Hendrix tie dye shirt...  I had on a crystal necklace from a Dead concert. We chatted for a while and then he gave me his phone number. I asked him what I was supposed to do with it. He told me, NO LIE, give it to your boyfriend because this is where he can contact you from now on. :floor: Well, needless to say, 1 1/2 years later while hiking in Alabama he placed a ring in some moss by a stream. We got married 3 months later at Eden State Park. The rest in history......

Oh, I just have to add to this thread of love!

I was 14 and he was 15. He had a crush on me and all my girlfriends said I should 'like' him. At the time, I was more interested in the wild guy in class, the one with the big lips!

Then we started 'dating' at sock-hops (remember those?). Yes, our folks drove us everywhere! Got through college, first at different schools, then together.

Now married going on 35 years with three fabulous kids:wub: and, I hope, all those grandkids on the way:wub:  !

And we have realized our fantasy of having a place at the beach for family and firends. Dreams can come true...

I believe I mortally wounded him "After" he wounded me.

Hey, how did your hair cut turn out?
It is cute...shorter than usual...but much much curlier than Annette's...I just have a whole lot more hair...:funn:

I love this story...I remember you telling me this a while ago....

Years ago, at my brother's wedding rehearsal dinner, we played this 'game'. When we got to my mom, dad just glared at her, as if to say "don't even". To which she glared back, as if to say "just try to stop me". To which he just rolled his eyes, giving up. So for the first time ever, we finally heard the story of how they met.

It was 1942, Camp LeJeune. Mom was whatever you called a female Marine (receptionist), Dad was in combat training.
Mom and a friend of hers were decorating for a "dance" they were having at the enlisted club. Mom's friend dared her to dance with the first guy that came through the door. Mom said, "I'll do better than that, I'll marry him." In walked my the man who became my Dad in his USMC dress uniform. They got married, dad went to Japan, and came home to a year old daughter! (his, not the milkman's)

Five kids, (I'm the youngest at 43, oldest is 62), four granchildren, three great grandchildren later, they almost made it to 60 years of marriage. Dad passed a few years ago, and Mom, 83, is the biggest flirt and constant center of attention at her assisted care living facility.
Gee I wonder where she gets that from?:idontno:
